GRETTA Project. There is no money in space

Thanks to the present day technological capabilities, we have an opportunity to compile a fairly full catalogue of technologies and research teams as well as almost all people and their activities records on the planet. Only today it becomes really possible to identify who and what everyone is. That is not an overstatement since we all already have digital twins nowadays.

Obviously, the technological leap that has made by European civilization over the past hundred years has led to the terrifying results: the planet, as the ecological niche of human habitation, is completely destroyed considering the inertia of the so-called technological progress. The destruction is taking place as a result of manufacturing «surrogate» products and services because of complete degradation of culture and social interactions. Any social interaction is distorted by means of exchange that is by the so-called «money» and «interest rate» that stimulates surrogate activities. Thus, the negative technological impact we are witnessing now is the results of the civilizational failure of communication.

The percentage of people, as a biological species, with cancer, diabetes, and other pathologies has dramatically increased whereas AIDS, depression, digital autism and artificial-type virus epidemics have already become a part of modern day life. Human beings have turned into “talking dogs” in terms of emotional, intellectual and other manifestations. There are deep reasons for this development of civilization (see the essay «Toxicity of human consciousness»). We have conceptual understanding of how to change the trajectory of European civilization but the implementation of these measures requires dozens of years and there is absolutely no time left according to our estimates.

Based on this, we propose to begin transformation of the current technological development «on the go» as they say.
This transformation will consist in changing basic technology assessment parameter: from the efficiency / prime cost of the final product to this product technology resource consumption and its damage in terms of a closed ecological niche. The innovative capabilities potential of this product for humankind will also be taken into consideration.
Thus we have the following paradigm change:
Product measured in money => Product measured in damage to planet/humans

To do this it will be necessary to start with revision of technologies that cause maximum damage to the planet as a closed ecological niche.
It is clear that the concept of maximum damage is difficult to formalize. Therefore, at the first stage this parameter will be attached to the table of chemical elements and factors causing cancer (International Agency for the Study of Cancer, category 1: carcinogens). For epidemics it will be tied to the causes of catastrophic destruction of human immune system by products of civilization and uncontrolled use of genetic engineering. Weighted coefficients for natural utilization period of the selected impact by the planet will be taken into consideration (in case of genetic engineering this time may be unpredictable).

After such technological chains are identified it will be necessary to introduce the system of ecological qualifying requirements/duties. We take into consideration the phenomenon of technological interdependencies high level so we suggest transformation rather than prohibition. This is not a pollution tax or another emissions penalty or environmental fine about which nobody knows where it goes and what it is spent on. It is obvious, that the current environmental taxes and fines are absorbed by the present-day economic system without leading to any serious technological, let alone economic, changes.

There is no place for such a notion as global ecological responsibility in the present-day economic development paradigm which jeopardises humankind survivability.

Ecological duties is the parameter that prohibits using a particular technology when the aftermath of this technology is unclear or the products of this technology are unrecoverable and cause total damage even in «microdoses». Ecological duties are also connected with the resources flaws. For example, there is a technology T1 that inflicts damage. Almost all modern technologies use the nonrenewable or slowly renewable resources and inflict damage. It means that the price of the products will be composed of production cost (the necessary resources and their utilization efficiency) and expenses on R&D of new technologies that eliminate the damage or replace T1 for a more appropriate technology. This is a notion of new economy and a new notion of added value cost.

It is obvious that to implement this simple plan it is necessary to create a global digital platform that allows to comprise all the technologies and active producers and consumers of these technologies.

The digital platform allows any agent to join collaboration creating scale network teams or SNT and get the maximum reward from his or her competitive advantages:
− A common market place for all participants types: customers, technology/expertize holders, technological brokers/integrators, executors, investors and others tied with inner token of the platform.
− A proactive position of every participant that determines his or her rating and access to the platform infrastructure;
− Getting a reword from participating in various tasks in any roles;
− The participants reputation is an integral quantity of his roles ratings expressed in his or her personal tokens.
− Decision making decentralization and risks distribution as a result of it

Ecological duties is a new ideology of price setting and trade. When transforming the cost of using technology and resources, the landscape of consumption will also change. There will be no any pop-up market based on competition and manipulations with borrowing rate of interest. Everything will be well determined and based on the transparency of decision making and everyone’s reputation.
The price of the product will be determined by the damage made to the planet during production and using of this product.
Thankfully, computing capabilities are enough to do it and to calculate how much a «carrot» will cost and if humanity needs it.
